Christmas across Eastern Europe (3): Hungary

2017-01-04

We arrived in Budapest two days ago. It was a larger, more modern city split by the large Danube into Buda and Pest. We visited the magnificent Parliament building – indeed it was magnificent, yet maybe bacause of the poor English of the guide or the seemingly too many museums, I felt kinda tired about all the decorations inside it. We all looked tired. It was a nice little cafe for yesterday’s dinner. Short menu but full of typical Hungarian food, and most of all, “amazing prices” just as what Google suggested.

Maybe it’s just that I like small quiet towns for vacations, like Hallstatt. These days I always think of the morning when we walked out of our small villa at Hallstatt, especially the fog around the snow capped mountains.
