This is a short post about my latest solution trying to show real-time lyrics (whether you’re using Apple Music or Spotify) on the menu bar of a Mac. You’ll need two apps installed, namely Lyric Fever (for live lyrics support, which needs Spotify cookies dumped locally, check its website for further instructions) and TopNotch (to black out the menu bar and hide the ugly notch) to replicate my outcome.

Once both apps are properly installed with permissions all set up, you can launch Apple Music and start a song (that has lyrics available on Spotify), and the outcome would be something like this:
